Looks like the cold weather is set to continue this week!
Fortunately our Cosy Spaces venues continue to offer a warm welcome – they’ve developed into a superb place for people to drop into and the warm packs are still available too.

The programme enabled volunteers from the community to offer extra sessions to whats usually provided – for example, the Wednesday and Friday soup and a cuppa sessions. The Wednesday sessions come to an end at the end of March but the Friday sessions continue on throughout April. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to restart things as winter sets in later in 2023 too. Some people have described the cosy spaces as a lifeline, a reason to come out. Everyone who attends the soup sessions has said what a welcoming warm space it is, new friendships have formed, old links rekindled and lots of laughs!
Don’t forget that the poster highlights whats on all week – some sessions carry on all year:
Mens Shed are open on a Tuesday and a Thursday every week.
Archway offer a welcoming lunch and social setting every Monday.
The library has its doors open 5 days a week too – the library is a hidden gem, please use this resource as it hugely important to demonstrate how appreciated it is via footfall.
Our Bowling club offer a widening range of events – dances, curry nights, spring fairs – they’re a great community venue for all.
Logos continue to open their doors to support young people, just not quite as early on a Monday. We’ve had interest in digital support during the Cosy Spaces sessions so we’ll be exploring how to continue this in the community.
APC (and the other Churches in town) will continue to offer a warm welcome in their usual worship times – APC have Messy Church, Friday night Youth Group and loads of community events too!
Aberuthven Hall and Church had a Cosy Spaces programme and as above, continue to offer a selection of events all year long too
The Town Bus continues to run too! A handy, hop on hop off service, running 6 days a week. No need to worry about parking and the comments about how great the driver is are frequent!
(details and contact for all spaces can be found in the community groups part of this website)

The volunteers who support and run the sessions are fantastic and the support from PKC with funding is hugely appreciated, without both this programme wouldn’t have been possible 🙂
