Family Fun Bike Day

ACSR IS DELIGHTED TO UNVEIL DETAILS OF OUR BIKE FUN DAY!

The name is slightly creative, as this is much more than just a one-off, one-day event! ACSR is committed to developing cycling in Auchterarder with the exciting news that a new pump track and mountain bike skills area are coming to the public park in 2023. To help celebrate this fantastic addition to our local community sports facilities, we have secured funded from Event Scotland for our Bike Fun Day. Details of all activities are below!

Let us know you are coming

The bike fun day is completely free to attend, but if you are interested in being kept in the loop about the event and our cycling activities, please complete our event register form here.

The Warm-Up

Community Challenge

  • From Sunday 18th September onwards, we are challenging the community to cycle a combined 2023kms – to celebrate that the World Cycling Championships are taking place in Scotland in 2023.
  • To do this, you just need to join Strava (for free) and then join the club called ACSR Community Cycling. All KMs cycled that week by ACSR members will then be recorded and the grand total revealed on the event day! If cycling with others (e.g. children) then add how many people cycled in your post and we will include them too.
  • If you are not on Strava, you can submit your KMs cycled to tim@acsr.org.uk by Saturday 1 October.

Family Bike Orienteering

  • This activity will be available from Friday 30th September and will run until 3pm on Sunday 2nd October. Follow the orienteering route on your bike to collect facts about the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships which is coming to Scotland in 2023. Then, complete the (easy) multi-choice quiz…and be in with a chance of landing the prize!
  • Once you have visited the 7 key locations on our orienteering route, please click here for the entry form or visit the pavilion on Sunday 2 October where you can enter your answers on one of our mobile devices.
