Only 2 days remain until the Library Consultation Closes.
Please do have your say - it really does matter.
If the the suggestions to have "click and collect" "monthly pop up in another community venue" "increased mobile library service" etc are taken forward, we would see our current library close. We would loose this valuable community space.
We’re a town which has grown by over 25% and we’re yet to receive the new facilities and infrastructure to balance this growth. Evidence from the CAP consultation demonstrates wide concern around this. The Library is a hub for the community - Its one of the few places that people can visit for free and we need to keep a hold of this space. The books and everything related are obviously important, the benefits of free access to reading are well documented, but the library, the physical space and the people who run it, offer even more than what can be measured in footfall and book loans.
