On Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June over 1900 plants need to be rehomed in 42 locations and so far we have just a handful of brave volunteers. So we are reaching out to ask anyone else, who could be available, to come forward please.
The planters are already prepared, it’s just a case of lovingly placing the plants into the tubs, and watering.
It would be amazing if more of the new volunteers who signed up at Aytoun Hall, could be available even if it is only for a couple of hours. It means that we can organise pairs of volunteers to work together in planting and watering (if necessary) each planter. There are 48 planters (including the Mill Wheel) so this is a sizeable operation. John and Gill have kindly volunteered to planting out the top end of town which leaves 32 planters. If we could gather just 8 volunteers on each day that would be amazing – so we really need more bodies to ease the workload. Please come and give a hand if you can spare the time. Even if you are new to gardening, we can buddy you up with someone with experience on the day.
