The Strathallan Community Rail Partnership are a small group of volunteers whose aim is to link local communities with their local rail routes. It can be in all manner of ways - for example, locally they communicate between Scotrail and local bus service operators to ensure that things link up as well as possible. In other locations, the community rail partnerships have initiatives such as "take the bus for a walk" where they'll share information about local walking routes easily done from a station.
They're a great team of people who do a lot behind the scenes to make things work well.
