Hedgehog Drop In Session

“The Auchterarder Hedgehog Highways project is a two-year initiative jointly run by the Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, and the Tayside Biodiversity Partnership. Now well into the second year of the project, they have been monitoring Auchterarder’s hedgehog population using trail cameras in volunteers’ gardens. They are currently collating footage collected over the past several months, but they still need more videos and photographs from local gardens to help us build a clearer picture of the size of the hedgehog population and where individuals are located. As part of the project, they also encourage people to make their gardens more hedgehog-friendly and create hedgehog highways, allowing hedgehogs to move freely between gardens. If you would like to learn more about hedgehogs, chat about the project, or get involved by using a trail camera in your garden, please come along to one of our hedgehog drop-in sessions at Auchterarder Community Library, held on the morning of 21st July (10.15am  – 1pm) and the afternoon of 29th July (4 – 6.30pm).
