The Friends of Aytoun Hall

The Friends of Aytoun Hall is a charity limited by guarantee (SCO 27157) set up in the mid-1990s by the Auchterarder & District Community Council, specifically to secure the future of the Aytoun Hall as the primary leisure and recreation venue of the Auchterarder community. Until 2013, the charity was named the Auchterarder Leisure & Recreation Association (ALRA), when it changed its name to Friends of Aytoun Hall (F of AH). All residents living in Postcode PH3 are defacto members of the F of AH. At its AGM each June a Management Committee of up to 13 members of the community are elected. The ‘Friends’ Management Committee meets 6 times a year. Members of the public are invited to attend meetings. After a decade of lobbying the Council to refurbish the Aytoun Hall and following its £1.4M refurbishment in 2010, the F of AH’s revised aims are to represent the Auchterarder Community by providing feedback from users to the owner (Perth & Kinross Council) and operator (Live Active Leisure), influence management and suggest enhancements to operating procedures, and to organize fundraising events to raise money for the maintenance and replacement of the furniture and fittings owned by the community, but at the same time contributing to improving quality of life in the town.
Volunteers are always needed to join the management committee to fill existing vacancies. Anyone interested in giving a little time and contributing to quality of life in Auchterarder is encouraged to participate in the Charity’s business. Contact David Homewood on 01764 663049 for further information.

Defibrillator Information
The Auchterarder and Aberuthven area has several Defibrillator Units.
This data is not intended for use in an emergency. If you witness a cardiac arrest, you should call 999 immediately and the ambulance service can provide you with assistance, including informing you of the location of the nearest defibrillator.
- Use the Defib Finder map: You can use the Defib Finder web app to search for registered defibrillators near a specific postcode or location. This tool uses data from The Circuit.
- Download an App: Apps like GoodSAM also map thousands of public access defibrillators and can be used to locate nearby devices.
- Call 999 in an Emergency: In a genuine emergency, always dial 999 immediately. The ambulance call handler has access to The Circuit's data and will direct you to the nearest available defibrillator and provide any necessary access codes.
In the event of Emergency, call 999
Individuals can use DefibFinder to familiarise themselves with the locations of their nearest defibrillators. This will accelerate retrieval if instructed by a 999 call handler. Defibrillators are easy to use, with clear instructions. Training is not required.
