As we move into the heart of the festive season, we want to begin with a huge thank you. The overwhelming interest and support for our The Christmas That Almost Wasn’t drama production has been truly humbling. Your enthusiasm has filled our cast and crew with joy, and we cannot wait to perform the final two shows tonight and tomorrow. Your encouragement means the world to everyone involved.
Introducing the Auchterarder Picturehouse CREW Website
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Auchterarder Picturehouse CREW website!
The CREW site is your hub to stay up to date with everything happening across the Picturehouse community. You’ll find details on activities, events, and updates from all nine established groups under the CREW umbrella. It’s also a great way to connect with like-minded people who share a passion for the arts, performance, and community creativity.
We hope it becomes a vibrant digital home for everyone who keeps this special place alive.
Christmas Movie Screenings – Sunday 14th December
You’re warmly invited to join us at Aytoun Hall for a festive triple-screening on Sunday 14th December.

As always, we’ll be offering complimentary tea, coffee, juice, biscuits, and of course… popcorn! It’s one of our favourite annual traditions, and we look forward to sharing a cosy winter’s afternoon of film and community with you.
Exciting Improvements at the Picturehouse
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been busy caring for our beloved building. Essential repairs and improvements at the Auchterarder Picturehouse were carried out in preparation for the Christmas drama production. While many of these enhancements are modest – and in some cases almost invisible – they are incredibly important.
They will allow us to begin using the Picturehouse as a true multipurpose venue, perfectly timed as we approach our centenary year in 2026.
Next year will bring a flurry of activities and events celebrating our cherished 1926 Art Deco venue, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
