MESSY CHURCH
Description
Auchterarder Parish runs a monthly MESSY CHURCH event on the LAST SUNDAY of each month in the Community Church Centre, at the side of the church building. It’s an alternative form of ‘church’ – very child and family friendly, but really for ALL AGES.
The aims of Messy Church are as follows:
to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to worship together
to help people of all ages feel they belong to the church and to each other
to help people have fun together
to give people a chance to express their God-given creativity
to invite people in to experience a Christian community
- to introduce people to Jesus through hospitality, friendship, stories and worship
Messy Church is FREE although donations to offset costs are very welcome!
We meet in the afternoon from 4.00 until 5.30 pm Our programme starts with activities and crafts related to the theme/story of the day, after which we meet for a period of worship, with a light touch. We always finish with a light fellowship meal for everyone involved – usually one of my favourite bits!
Messy Church dates until June 2026. Remember, all events are on the LAST SUNDAY each month from 4:00 – 5:30 pm unless noted.
