Keep Scotland Beautiful Spring Clean – Community Event

April 20 - April 28

As part of the National #Springclean, from 20th to 28th of April, we’re encouraging everyone to clean up the space around them at the time that fits around everyone’s busy lives.

Why not organise a street clean up session with your friends and neighbours during this period? We have stocks of litter picking tools that we can share with you – pickers, bag hoops etc so get in touch: aanda.cap@gmail.com

On Sun 21st, Core Paths Group meet at the Pavilion – if you’d like to be part of a big group effort during the clean up week, this is the place to be!  All tools &equipment are provided and there are jobs for every ability.

Accompanied children very welcome.

We’ve also had interest in collecting tree protectors that have lain for years along some of the wooded areas near the paths network. Bulk bag located at the Pavillion for any collected. Thanks for joining in and taking pride in our fantastic home.

For the third consecutive year, the impacts of litter on animals and the environment are deemed the most concerning. Litter harms local wildlife in several ways, but the most common is being mistaken for food. Bright colour- ed wrappers, the scent of old food, it can be deceiving. Ingesting litter will not always instantly harm wildlife, but over time the effects can be severe and even cause death.

We’re supporting Keep Scotland Beautiful to clean up for nature this #SpringCleanScotland
